About Carrie Hanson
Carrie Hanson is a longarm machine quilter and the face of Gotcha Covered Quilting. Carrie began quilting 20 years ago and was hooked with the first stitch. When she realized she was making quilt tops much faster than she was able to hand quilt them, she turned to her trusty domestic machine and taught herself how to machine quilt. Over the next decade Carrie’s passion for quilting blossomed into a full-time longarm business and Gotcha Covered Quilting was born.
Carrie is regularly commissioned by pattern and fabric designers and her custom quilting can be seen as cover photos for numerous quilt patterns and magazines. She provides both custom free motion and computerized longarm quilting services. She also teaches domestic machine and longarm quilting. Although Carrie loves all her Daylight Company lights and magnifiers, she considers the Quilta Longarm Quilting Lamp to be an indispensable tool specifically for her business.
The light fits perfectly on her longarm handles and with an adjustable light hood and multiple dim settings, she is able to get exactly the amount of light she needs for all her intricate custom quilting. Carrie considers the Luminos and Slimline must haves for all other areas of quilting, sewing and crafting.
