About Sue O’Very

Sue O’Very is a BERNINA Ambassador, Aurifil thread designer, Bluprint instructor and regular columnist for DIME and CME magazine. She is known for her clever machine embroidery projects created In the Hoop, Serge~Broidery®️projects and YouTube video series, “Does this Notion REALLY work?”. Sue admits her sewing space is far from perfect. It’s small, dark and un-inspired. That is, until she turns on her Daylights.

Strategically spaced in her sewing room Sue has created a fully lit area where she can create. Sue now describes her room as being like the perfect sunny picnic day, minus the ants. The leading ladies of her sewing room are her Slimline 3, Luminos and Wafer Lightbox. She loves the little Halo because it’s easy to move about exactly where she needs a little extra daylight.

Her most recent obsession is using the Daylight Wafer light box for her In the Hoop paper piecing projects, such as her Color Wheel Clutch and Owls in Love EmBundle®️mini hanger. Between the Wafer light box and the accompanying cutting mat she creates perfect In the Hoop paper piecing every single time.
